Baby of Manga, a 33-day old boy s/o Mr. Rajendra admitted in ( NICU) Neonatal Intensive Care unit of Rainbow Children’s Hospital Banjara hills on 25 th January 2024 with IP NO.IP5-00130615 & UHID: BAH-00574728. Baby was born as preterm (26+2 weeks) with extreme low birth weight(730 grams) Baby was diagnosed as preterm, ELBW, Respiratory distress, probable sepsis, apnea of prematurity, anaemia of prematurity, coagulopathy, feed intolerance.

Baby has been treated with Mechanical ventilator, IV antibiotics, IV paracetamol, IV Caffeine. blood transfusions, Phototherapy and incubator Care. Baby was started on NG Tube feeding which was gradually increasing. At present the baby is on CPAP support, IV fluids, IV caffeine, NG tube feeding along with total parenteral nutrition and incubator Care. In View of prematurity with extreme low birth weight and with above conditions baby may require further NICU stay for 4-5 weeks and according to the doctors at Rainbow Children’s Hospital Banjara hills approximate the cost of the treatment is 8-10 lakhs (Rupees Eight to ten Lakhs Only).
